Nasya Kamrat is a futurist and thought leader on innovation, experience design, and entrepreneurship.

With over two decades of experience, Nasya Kamrat is a sought after speaker and consultant, exploring the intersection between innovation and experience design, using technology and storytelling to create experiences that build belonging.

Always torn between being “too business-minded” and “too creative” Nasya found her niche as a futurist and creative strategist, helping brands create authentic experiences that people can connect with, whether it’s in real life or online (or the unique, ethereal space between them).

As a serial entrepreneur, Nasya is dedicated to supporting women and under-represented communities in business. She founded and led a successful certified women-owned experience design agency for over 12 years which she exited in late 2023 and during her tenure, co-founded Komuna, a women and BIPOC-owned cooperative that brings together best-in-class minority owned agencies to better service brand partners. In 2020, she came together with global experts across the experience economy sector to co-found the World Experience Organization and was tapped to lead the Women in Experience division. Nasya supports multiple startups and established brands as an innovation advisor and futurist, has served on numerous boards, and volunteers as a mentor for PDX Women in Tech and PIE Incubator Experiment.

Born and raised in New York, Nasya currently resides in Portland, Oregon with her husband, two children (Ezra age 6 and Isabel age 1), and a small pup named Mazie Lu.

SELECT QUOTES

“Memory is imperfect. It’s the change in narrative. Two people can walk away from the same experience with singular memories – so how can we design the experience so their transformation continues a year later?”

“The goal of everything we do is to build connectivity and to build community, whether that’s during or after an experience itself.”

“We always think of transformation as these major, massive moments, but actually it can be small or incremental. This changes what designing for it means – it could mean allowing for a change of perception that leads to a big transformation, but through incremental moments.”
